Jasmine, the princess who wants to marry for love but is under pressure from her father. She hates having her life lived for her, so she tries to escape to the city. She's very intelligent and has quite a temper.
Abu, Aladdin's monkey. He is a faithful friend who gets Aladdin out of some tough situations, but he is a bit greedy, which leads to some problems in the Cave of Wonders.
Rajah, Jasmine's lion. A very good friend who is quite protective of Jasmine and is willing to scare off suitors.
Jafar, the royal vizier who wants to take the throne. He is a powerful sorceror and controls people with his magical staff. He is a dangerous enemy and will stop at nothing.
Genie, Aladdin's big blue friend who will grant him 3 wishes. He tries to boost Aladdin's self-esteem, but is hurt when Aladdin breaks his promise.
Iago, Jafar's sidekick. He's a wisecracking parrot.
